Easy Weeknight Philly Cheesesteaks

Easy Weeknight Philly Cheesesteaks

This Philly Cheesesteak recipe tastes like the real thing but takes some huge short cuts, beginning the grocery store deli! My family loves a steak sandwich. I spent years grilling steak and cutting it thin to create the perfect steak sandwich, until now.. The first stop you will need to make to create this sandwich is the grocery deli counter. I love to use Boars Head London Broil. I find that it is not over cooked and has the perfect taste for this sandwich. When I make this for a crowd, I often put mushrooms, cheese sauce, and horseradish on the side so guests can create their own. You might want to follow my lead on this one. I will keep your secret that it only took 15 minutes to make!

Start by caramelizing an onion in 2T of butter. Take your time on this one, it should take about 10-15 minutes.

Fill the meat on toasted hoagie rolls or lettuce cups for a low carb option. You could also add a horseradish cream, mushrooms or cheese! Cut the hoagies in half if anyone wants a smaller portion.
