Hot Dog Chili Sauce
You can always use chili for an amazing hot dog sauce, however if you want a quick great tasting sauce for your chili dog, give this one a try.
Hot Dog Tip: Heat your oven to 400 degrees. Split hot dogs down the middle and cook for 10 minutes in the oven. This method will cook several hot dogs quickly, and they taste great!
Hot Dog Sauce:
Ingredients:
1 pound ground chuck
1/4 cup beef broth
1 Tablespoon tomato paste
5 ounces tomato sauce
1/2 Cup ketchup
1 Tablespoon mustard
1 Tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
Now let’s make it:
Brown beef and drain fat.
Add tomato paste and beef broth and let simmer for 5 minutes.
Add all remaining ingredients and let simmer on low until thick (around 30 minutes)
Add all of your favorite toppings on your hot dog such as hot dog sauce, cheese, onion, pickles and cole slaw. Enjoy!
