It's your Birthday cake sugar cookies
Ok, my go to cookie has been and aways will be a chocolate chip cookie, however this cookie gives the chocolate chip cookie a run for it’s money. They are by far one of the easiest cookies I have ever made and may have just become a favorite in our house!
Birthday Cake Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 egg
1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sprinkles
1/2 cup sugar for rolling the cookies in before baking
Now let’s make it:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line a cookie pan with parchment paper.
Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy, about 5 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add egg and vanilla and beat until fluffy.
In a separate bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to the wet ingredients, beating on low speed until it comes together. Add the sprinkles.
Using a cookie scoop or spoon dip out large scoops of batter. Roll in sugar and put on tray. Try to leave around 2 inches between each cookie.
Bake for 11-13 minutes.
